I'm a perfume junkie. Who doesn't like to smell nice? Plus, the random complements are great too! Every perfume lover searches for the whole grail spray routine to make their fragrance last longer; especially when the bottle is expensive or in the warm weather months. I have a few tips to help make your sprays last. See the list below and add your tips and tricks in the comments!
FORMULATIONS & STORAGE
1. Buy the EDP formulation instead of EDT - If your fav fragrance comes in a EDP buy that instead. Yes, it's bit more expensive, but more concentrated; meaning you'll probably spray less.
2. Don't store it in the muggy stay bathroom or vanity - We all know that perfumes should be stored in the shade, but humidity is a longevity killer. Instead, keep your perfume in a cool part of your room out of the window light.
3. Put your perfume in the fridge! - Crazy right? My co-worker gave me this tip. Only two spray and she was fragrant ALL DAY LONG. She keeps her Lancôme - La Vie Est Belle in the fridge. Now I wouldn't suggest putting all your bottles in for an extended period of time; but if you have a few scents in heavy rotation, this may be worth a try.
METHODS OF SPRAY
Sounds technical right? "Methods of Spray". Crazy enough, there a real strategy to how and when you spray your body.
4. Spray yourself right after a shower - Or in the morning before you get dressed. Some materials in our clothes don't hold the smell as long as others and detergents can effects the logenivty and composition.
5. Moisturize immediately - Do this after you spray with a light or fragrance-free lotion. It helps the perfume stick and seep onto your skin.
6. Spray on pressure points - THIS IS IMPORTANT! Don't just spray aimlessly. Hit your wrists, the bend of your elbow, lightly on your neck, your waist, the backs of you knees. Why? Because these places don't have a lot of sweat glands; therefore less sweat to break down the EDP or EDT you put on in the morning.
7. Mist your hairbrush - before you smooth out your hair. Don't spray directly into your hair because the alcohol can strip your strands. You'll get a whiff of you EDP while you're walking or when the wind blows
