SPILL IT! SPRING SUNDAY WIMB

It's been a while since I've done a post! My style has changed a bit since I left. I've scaled down my closet and  focused on a color palette. Lots of new changes to share!

I'm trying to scale down what I carry in my bag, especially on the weekend when I'm in the city (who wants to carry a huge tote in the city?) Sunday in the city usually have my Canon T3i strapped around my neck (hence the Canon lens cap). I also like to carry my homemade external hard drive. even though I don't carry around my laptop, I can still hook it up to to a computer in cafe or library and upload the pictures if I want to share them. I know, I know. What about a flash drive? I've lost too many USB drives off my keychain to bother with those anymore.

I like to carry my composition book for quick notes, ideas, to do lists and doodles when I'm out and about. I also have my Warby Parker specks and Calvin Klein shades. Quick tip: only carry one glasses case! Rocket science, right? But when I'm wearing one pair, I just store the other.  Plus my hard CK case is big enough to store both at the same time if I really wanted.

I've given up on carrying the makeup bag. I came to realize that I use my emergency makeup bag as a safety blanket. Let's be honest, how many times do you use everything in that bag every time you go out? Now I just carry my MAC Cosmetics Amorous Lipstick and my CHANEL EDT. I also snagged some samples at Sephora. Last but not least, my light grey MK scarf. Its good to keep spring scarf with you even when it gets hot. Sometimes the air conditioning blows too hard and too cold when walking in and out of buildings.

Welp, that's it for today! What are your spring bag must haves?

FASHION BUY: Retail Discounts

I love saving money on everything that I buy! Most especially retail because my style is always changing as the trends go in and out.
Here’s just a few of my tips on how I get RETAIL DISCOUNT.
1.  Do the surveys!
Many retail stores offer a percentage or dollar discount if you do their online or mobile app survey if you spend a particular dollar amount.  (Victoria’s Secret is a great!)
2.  Get the apps!
Apps like “Wrapp” and “RetailMeNot” are great for receiving, sending, and saving deals and coupons for yourself and others. GO DOWNLOAD THEM! They’re FREE!
3.  Be shameless in the markdown/sale section!
Make what’s on sale work! Many times, items on sale are still in season. You can get a lot of wear out of them and save money at the same time!
Couple all these tips together and you’re sure to get a lot for your dollar.
What tricks and tips do you use to get great buys for less??
